In the Spring of 2017, I successfully applied and interviewed for an internship with the Gettysburg Children's Choir, conducted by Dr. Brent Talbot. I spent much of the Fall 2017 semester planning and executing rehearsal and warmup plans, conducting both the Children's Choir (3rd-8th grade) and Chamber Chorale (9th-12th grade), arranging songs for the Chamber Chorale, choosing repertoire, and assisting with administrative duties. Among many other things, I was most proud of our performance at the 38th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration — a performance wrought with emotion for all the right reasons that was the subject of many stories in the paper the following week.
